Abstract

This study was conducted to know the influence   of interpersonal,  personal, and environmental  supports  toward the  physical activity of  senior high school student

in Pekanbaru – Riau. The aims of the study is to explore the effect of interpersonal (social support of  parents, friends, and school), personal (self efficacy) and environment  factors toward the physical activity.This is a descriptive correlational research design.The population of the study was the 14 to 17 years old  students of senior high school  Pekanbaru  with 585 total  samples  distributed in 12 districts in Pekanbaru Riau. The questionaires as the instrument of the study  were used to explore the effect of social support of parents, friends, and the safety and ease sport ( physical), and personal factors  such as self-efficacy and real  experience in physical activities. The descriptive analysis of the findings showed that the level  of physical activity were not  satisfied. The only 15% of students were active in sport, dance, and recreation, and 22,8% of students were  moderate  active in physical activity, and 69% were not active in physical activity. The influence of parents, school, and peer support, the ease of enviromental sport, and self efficacy toward physical activity of senior high school students in Pekanbaru shows that regresion linearity of  self eficcacy  (t=8.209), parents social support  (t=.076), peer support (t=1.579), school support  (t=-.713) and  the ease of enviromental sport (t=-.806)  with  F=18.934  and  p<0.05.The findings  found that the only  friends and parents support and self efficacy influenced students’ physical activity with the  contribution is 14.1%. Self efficacy is the most dominant. Safety and ease of sport do not show a significant influence. 

Abstrak

Kajian ini dilakukan  untuk mengenal pasti faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keaktifan siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas  di Pekanbaru – Riau, dalam aktiviti fizikal. Kajian ini akan mengenal pasti pengaruh interpersonal(sokongan sosial ibu bapa, rakan sebaya, sekolah), personal ( Efikasi diri ) dan pesekitaran   terhadap penglibatan aktiviti fizikal di kalangan pelajar Sekolah Menengah Atas  di  Pekanbaru - Riau. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif  korelasi dengan populasi kajian pelajar sekolah menengah Pekanbaru Riau yang berumur  14, 15, 16 dan 17 tahun dengan jumlah sampel seramai 585 dari 12 daerah  yang ada di Pekanbaru . Kajian ini menggunakan soal selidik bagi mengkaji faktor sokongan sosial daripada ibu bapa, rakan dan sekolah serta faktor keselamatan, kemudahan sukan (fizikal) dan faktor personal seperti, efikasi diri. Analisis diskriptif menunjukkan bahawa tahap  penglibatan aktifiti fizikal tidak begitu  memuaskan. Berdasarkan kepada kajian ini, hanya 15.% pelajar  aktif dalam aktiviti berbentuk kesukanan, senaman dan rekreasi  dan 22.8% remaja adalah mereka yang sederhana  aktif dalam penglibatan aktiviti fizikal dan 69.% yang tidak aktif sama sekali dalam aktifiti fizikal.Sumbangan pemboleh ubah bebas, Analisis persamaan regresi menunjukkan, skala Efikasi Diri (t=8.209), skala Sokongan Sosial Ibu Bapa (t=.076), skala sokongan sosial teman sebaya (t=1.579), skala sokongan sekolah (t=-.713) dan  skala kemudahan menggunakan persekitaran sukan (t=-.806)  di mana nilai F=18.934  dengan p<0.05. Dapatan menunjukkan  hanya rakan sebaya, sokongan sosial ibu bapa, sokongan sekolah dan efikasi diri yang mempengaruhi penglibatan mereka dalam aktiviti fizikal. Dengan  memberi sumbangan sebesar 14.1 %  ke atas Penglibatan Aktiviti Fizikal. Efikasi diri memberi kesan dominasi yang paling tinggi   . Keselamatan dan kemudahan sukan tidak mempengaruhi secara signifikan dalam penglibatan aktifiti fizikal.
