Abstract

Artikel ini disediakan bagi mengulas tentang konsep-konsep asas yang terkandung dalam sistem pengurusan prestasi bagi memudahkan pemahaman berkaitan pengurusan prestasi. Pemahaman mendalam tentang sistem pengurusan prestasi adalah penting kepada setiap pengurus organisasi bagi membangunkan prestasi pekerja serta mengekalkan kelangsungan kejayaan organisasi. Turut dibincangkan adalah proses penting dalam penilaian prestasi berdasarkan sudut pandangan beberapa sarjana terkenal dalam bidang pengurusan prestasi. Selain itu, sorotan berkaitan sistem penilaian prestasi di Malaysia juga dapat memberikan gambaran menyeluruh kepada setiap pengurus organisasi untuk menyelami fungsian penilaian prestasi di peringkat domestik. Akhir sekali, artikel ini juga menjelaskan tentang transformasi terkini dalam sistem penilaian prestasi yang melibatkan Pegawai Perkhidmatan Pendidikan yang berkhidmat di sekolah-sekolah seluruh Malaysia. Artikel ini sesuai dijadikan rujukan selain dapat menambah sumber literatur dalam bidang penilaian prestasi, pengurusan sumber manusia dan pengurusan pendidikan.
