Abstract

This study aims to know the extent of the author’s success in his story writing experience. The problem of this study lies in how the writer uses and employs the literary artistic elements of the story. Its methodology was to extrapolate the story in a detailed and analytical manner, with evidence and commentary on it. The questions of this study, in its entirety, are represented in the author's fictional way of dealing with: theme, events, plot, people, environment (time and place) and style (linguistic aspect and its methods, narration method, dialogue, and suspense element). The results of this study showed that the writer of the story has excelled in using the technical elements of the story as a whole, especially the stylistic element to build the structure of this story that reflected the events and crises in Malay society. This story is also considered a good one as it fulfills the conditions of the literary artistic elements of the story, which are known to writers specialized in story literature.
